For better and more activities in world markets, there is no other way but establishing holding companies which are the keystones of the development in tourism.
Miras Aria (CHTN) - Mr. Ansari, the managing director of Marcopolo Tourism Development Company (PJS), in the inauguration ceremony, pointed out that the ceremony meant to invite interested investors to participate in the development of the industry, to officially declare the activates of travel holding, and to state the inclination of private sector for an active participation.
Mentioning that Marcopolo started its activity in 1382 as Marcopolo Voyages in conjunction with 300 tour and travel agencies, he reiterated that Marcopolo, receiving the required certificate as the first wholesaling company in 1384 from Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization, could offer quality services to tourists.
Mr. Ansari, mentioning that the idea of founding travel holding and public joint stock company was put forward in 1386 supported by Cultural Heritage Organization, added: to this end, Marcopolo members, to develop their activities, intended to establish a holding company and in 1387 Marcopolo managed to undergo the preliminary phases and start its activities in Shahrivar, 1388.
He, mentioning that the subscription process will soon initiate, pointed out that the plans and the perspective of the company has been defined in seven sections, namely voyages, research & training, Iran touring, E-tourism, air & rail services, hotel chains, and exemplar tourism regions.
